About MenopauseWeb

MenopauseWeb is a friendly, practical guide for women navigating perimenopause, menopause and the years beyond. We cover the questions women actually ask, from why you’re suddenly awake at 3 a.m. to what to wear when hot flashes hit, in clear, everyday language.

Why we started MenopauseWeb

Menopause affects every woman who lives long enough to reach it, yet many of us head into it with very little information. Symptoms like night sweats, brain fog, joint aches, vaginal dryness or a disappearing sex drive often come as a surprise, and they are still not talked about openly enough.

We created MenopauseWeb to change that. Our goal is simple: help you understand what is happening in your body, show you what actually helps, and remind you that this stage of life can be a strong, confident second act.

What you’ll find here

  • Sleep: night sweats, 3 a.m. wake-ups, insomnia and how to rest well again
  • Style: breathable fabrics, easy layers, skincare and dressing your changing body
  • Strength: strength training, bone health, heart health and metabolism
  • Remedies: hot flash relief, brain fog, self-care and treatments to discuss with your doctor
  • Intimacy: desire, comfort, vaginal dryness and staying close with your partner
  • Gifts: thoughtful ideas for the women in your life, and for yourself

You’ll find two kinds of posts: in-depth guides that explain a topic from start to finish, and short, practical tips you can try tonight.

Meet the editor

Claire Bennett is the editor of MenopauseWeb. She writes practical, plain-language guides for women navigating perimenopause, menopause and the years after, on sleep, comfort, style, strength and relationships. Every article is written to be useful, kind and honest, and points readers to their doctor for medical decisions.

How we create our content

Every article is researched using guidance from respected medical and health organizations, such as The Menopause Society, the National Institutes of Health, the Mayo Clinic, the Cleveland Clinic and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. We then translate that information into plain, practical language you can actually use.

We review and update articles when new information becomes available. If you ever spot something that looks outdated or incorrect, please let us know and we’ll take a look.

An important note about medical advice

MenopauseWeb is written by our editor, Claire Bennett. We are not doctors, and our content is for general information only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Every woman’s experience of menopause is different, so please talk with your doctor or another qualified health professional about your own symptoms and before starting any new treatment, supplement or exercise routine.

How we keep the lights on

MenopauseWeb is free to read. To support the site, some articles include product recommendations with Amazon affiliate links. We only recommend products we believe are genuinely useful for women going through menopause, and earning a commission never changes what we write. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
